Mountain Trax is an independent bicycle retailer based in Barkham, near Wokingham in Berkshire, UK. The shop is ideally located within the M3 / M4 corridor close to Reading, Newbury, Bracknell, Basingstoke, and Wokingham. Although our true catchment is nationwide owing to some of the sought after brands and products stocked. For bike testing the store is seven miles from Swinley Forest, with its excellent mountain bike trails.

Specialising in high-end performance and leisure cycles, we stock; mountain, road, hybrid, commuter, cyclocross and childrens bikes, and parts from the top manufacturers. We also sell everything else you’d expect from a good bike shop, from cycle clothing and footwear, through sports nutrition to technology like GPS units, cameras and lights. Our key bike brands include: Santa Cruz, Evil, Intense, Ibis, Niner, Yeti, Orange, Scott, Cannondale, Kinesis and Whyte. Looking for an easier ride? Scott Electric Bikes are now instock and on Demo.

You can buy securely through our website and have items delivered, or use Click and Collect instore. Alternatively, come and visit us at our 3500ft Barkham showroom where we have 1000's more products in stock, as we don't upload every product to the web. There is plenty of free parking, an area to test ride bikes, and we're open 7 days a week. We also have a DEMO CENTRE with a great selection of 40 mtb, 10 road bikes, lights, wheels and Gore clothing to TRY BEFORE YOU BUY - 365 DAYS A YEAR. The SERVICE CENTRE caters for all your bike servicing, repair and customisation needs.

Returns

We apply different rules to returns depending on the circumstances:

You’ve bought the wrong item or changed your mind

If you buy something from us then realise you’ve bought the wrong size, don’t like the colour or you’ve just changed your mind, we’ll be happy to give you a replacement product or a full refund (excluding the delivery fee). Just return the item to us, unused and in the original packaging, within ten days. DVDs, CDs and food products must have the original seals intact. Please note that if you return an item in these circumstances, you will be liable for the carriage charges. Alternatively you can return it in person.

The item is faulty, sent in error or of unsatisfactory quality

If an item you’ve bought from us turns out to be faulty, sent in error, not what you ordered or of unsatisfactory quality, we’ll be glad to give you a full refund, including all postal charges, as long as you return it to us within ten days. In the case of damaged goods, we’ll need you to return the item in its original packaging.

If you return the item by post, please use recorded delivery – we can’t accept responsibility for items lost in the post. We’ll then contact you once we’ve processed your refund. Alternatively you can bring it to the shop in person for an immediate refund.

Our returns procedures don’t affect your statutory rights.
