Santa Cruz now use the vpp linkage through most of their full suspension
range. The virtual pivot point reduces pedal induced bob therefore leaving
all your energy being put into pedaling rather than losing it through the
suspension. This means that a bike like the Santa Cruz V10 can pedal as
well as any cross country bike despite having 10 inches of rear wheel travel.
The Nomad is worth a look, a 165mm do it all bike, building up to weigh under 30lbs these bike can climb like an xc bike but descend like the V10. For
women the Juliana is a classic single pivot design optimised for the female
cyclist.
Blur XC
Dedicated XC race performance has always involved some degree of compromise. Comfort is secondary to speed. Suspension is minimized and stiffened up to the point where it often becomes almost useless. Featuring Santa Cruz's patented VPP suspension and offering 115mm of plush rear wheel travel, yet weighing only 5.2 pounds (for a medium frame), with taut handling courtesy of an incredibly light 6069 aluminum frame and swingarm, the Blur XC is proof that you can have your performance cake and eat it too.
- 115mm Rear travel
- Custom Butted 6069 Tubeset
- Replaceable Dropout
- up to 105mm Travel Fork
- VPP Suspension
- Disc Only

Blur LT
Featuring longer legs and a little more meat where it counts, the Blur LT is the trail devouring bigger sibling to the Blur XC. Rear wheel travel is increased to 135mm, and the frame features beefier tubing reinforced with gussets around the head tube, providing enough reinforcement to run fork travel up to 160mm.
The swingarm allows larger tires than the Blur XC, and the chassis features a slacker head angle, taller bottom bracket and a longer wheelbase. The LT still climbs like a scalded cat, but it also descends with total confidence, and has the chops to handle just about any epic backcountry terrain that gets thrown under its wheels. It's the kind of bike you'll want when long days in the saddle are more of a priority than hard sprints beneath a finish banner.
- 135mm Rear travel
- Custom Butted 6069 Tubeset
- Replaceable Dropout
- up to 160mm Travel Fork
- Anodised or Powdercoat Finish
- VPP Suspension

Heckler
Over the years since its introduction, the Heckler has undergone a steady evolution and made a lot of friends along the way. Not wanting to alienate any of those friends, Santa Cruz have worked long and hard before pulling the trigger on the latest version of everyone's favorite workhorse.
They retained the long-legged, predictable handling, bumped the rear travel up slightly to 150mm, designed the chassis around a 140mm-travel fork (but able to handle 160mm), built it strong with a 15mm diameter pivot axle and gusseted tubing, but kept it light with a 6.4lb frame and shock weight. In human athletic terms, somewhere between marathon runners and wrestlers, you'd find the Heckler. A damn good rugby player. Even got a built-in bottle opener...
- Burly 15mm main pivot, lifetime bearing guarantee!
- 5.9” rear travel, 6.4lb frame and shock weight (medium, Fox Float R shock)
- Clearance for 8” brake rotors

Nomad
When the Nomad first hit the scene, the idea of 165mm travel trail bikes was considered a little over the top. Lighter and more nimble than dedicated big-drop, big-hit park-duty bikes, but less nervy and a lot more plush than the fast-twitch behavior of XC oriented bikes, the Nomad helped usher in a whole new trail riding mindset. It can be built up under 30 pounds and ridden as a supremely confidence inspiring trail bike, or with a slightly more heavy duty parts kit, it can very capably run with the big dogs in chairlift country.
The 165mm of VPP rear suspension allows it to climb with more agility and snap than many less-plush bikes, and this trait combined with its renowned handling have made the Nomad one of our most popular bikes ever. Nomad – the name sums it up – go anywhere.
- 165mm Rear travel
- Custom Butted 6069 & 6061 Tubeset
- Replaceable Dropout

Chameleon
After a long run as one of our most beloved jacks-of-all trades, the Chameleon has recently undergone some nip and tuck work. The aluminum frame is still as workhorse solid as ever, with a heavily gusseted head tube region capable of handling the loads of 160mm forks, super-bomber tough seat and chain stays and a new hydroformed top tube.
Santa Cruz has added a stealthy new ultra-light eccentric BB and vertical dropouts for easy wheel removal and disc brake use with either gears or set up as a single speed, and we've employed the swank replaceable derailleur hanger from the Heckler.
Set it up however you want – it's a single speed! An XC hardtail! A jump bike! It slices! It dices! It gets rid of your gambling debts! It plays a mean rhythm section!
- Geared or Singlespeed
- Eccentric BB
- Vertical dropouts
- Up to 160mm forks
- Disc Brake Only
- Powdercoat or Anodized
