The Bont a-three brings new meaning to the term 'value for money' for a cycling shoe. This is a fully heat moldable, hand made, light weight fiberglass racing shoe that is loaded with features.
This shoe is made by hand using Bont's monocoque manufacturing technique. Each layer of fiberglass is hand laid in different directions before being painted with resin and then bandaged extremely tight to remove any excess resin. The shoe is then baked in the oven for 45 minutes for curing. The light weight outer skin is then stitched and glued to the base. The result is a shoe that is one of the stiffest on the market and all for a very affordable price.

HEAT MOLDABLE This cycling shoe is the most heat moldable shoe on the market today
Bont's resin is developed in house and has been perfected over 35 years to be an extremely stiff resin that becomes pliable at relatively low temperatures. The base of the shoe is moldable which means all stiff areas of the shoe can be molded in a standard oven.
You do not need to mold your shoes if they fit you straight out of the box. To mold your shoes, remove any cleats, laces or cleat mounting screws and innersole before molding. Failure to remove the innersole can result in it becoming deformed by the heat. Pre heat the oven to 70C/160F. Place the shoe in the oven for 20 minutes. Higher temperatures will void your warranty and may damage your boot.
Caution: Do not place your feet in the hot shoes or you may burn your feet. Let them cool a little and test the shoe temperature with your hand before placing your feet in the shoes. Tighten the straps and allow to cool. If you have any lumps or bunions on your feet or if there are any areas causing discomfort, while the shoe is hot you can use the round end of a screwdriver to press out any part of the boot. You can heat mold the shoes as many times as you like.
IMPORTANT: The mm size on chart refers to exact lenght of the last. Depending on your preferred fit (tight or roomy) please allow 2-4mm extra length when choosing your size.
To find your size, place a tape measure on a flat surface up against a wall. Stand on the tape measure with your heal against the wall. Look down and take the measurement from your longest toe. Then use the MM scale on the size chart to find your size.
The mm sizes on the size chart are the exact length of the last that we use to build the shoes. If you find that your mm size is exactly the same as a value on the size chart, you may want to select one size bigger to give your toes some room. Eg. You measure your foot and it is 268mm is size which is a size 42.5. Unless you like your shoes very tight, you may wish to wear a size 43.
