 DEMO BIKES... Just like buying a car you're investing a lot of money in your bike so you want a test drive. Mountain Trax have a wide range of demonstrator bikes available for you to take away and ride on our local terrain for one day. With the knowledge you gain from riding these bikes and the information that the staff can provide, you should now be able to choose what bike you need, or specify the frame and components to Custom Build your Dream Bike.
Please call to check the availability of demo bikes and to book a test ride, we also take some to the local Gorrick races. Other bikes maybe available on request such as alternate sizes, models or womens bikes direct from the manufacturers; Orange, Santa Cruz, Yeti, Whyte, Scott.
How Does The Demo Scheme Work?
We charge a minimal £30 for which you receive a card enabling you to demo any of our bikes for upto 48hrs max at any one time. The card is valid for 30 days from the date of issue so you only pay the once, but have the opportunity to test multiple bikes to really get a feel for what suits you and meets your requirements. And because Mountain Trax is open 7 days a week you can book the bike for anytime that suits you. The fee goes toward us buying the bikes, their upkeep and courier costs when getting bikes in from manufacturers. Your demo fee will be refunded if you subsequently purchase a bike. Identification will be required in the form of a driving licence or passport and will remain with us during the demo, and a disclaimer form signed. We request that demo bikes are not taken further afield to trail centres. Most riders take the bikes over to Swinley Forest which is just a 15 minute drive from the shop. A Cycling Permit to ride is required here and all our bikes include this.
DEMO LIGHTS... To keep you riding through the winter we are pleased to provide a selection of demo lights to try before you buy. We have USE Exposure Lights, Hope Lights, and selected products from Lupine.
