2008 Scott Spark Limited - Now In
The Spark Limited has a frame weight of 1790g including shock, which therefore makes this the lightest frame/shock combination in the world!
This record lightweight construction has been made possible with the use of IMP™ technology which was used for the manufacture of the top tube, head tube and down tube as one piece. Also for the manufacture of the carbon dropout system and carbon cable stopper to again save weight.
As before the core of the bike is the traction control system, which allows the rider to alternate between the three phases of rear wheel shock travel via a handlebar mounted remote whilst riding. These being lockout, traction mode (80mm) and full mode (110mm) this offers the rider the best possible traction and comfort. The Nude TC shock which is manufactured by DT Swiss and weighing only 240g, supports the weight tuning process therefore meaning the entire Spark Limited without pedals weights just 9.35kg
